It might take it a little longer, but I'll bet it makes it. I found out afterwards that I had used the wrong box for several of the letters that I sent to my son. They all made it, no problem.

the letter should get there just fine, I sent letters with a original address that didn't have the P.O. Box number and my recruit got them in the same time he did with any other address

Farmerdo, Recruits get mail every day except the following: Sundays, Holidays and during the Crucible.

A SASE is a great idea Doug. I actually made labels with my recruit's PI address too and sent those so she could use it for a return address on all letters. Anything you can do to save your friend...
